Corporate human rights obligations: Towards binding international legal obligations?
Izvleček
V zadnjih desetletjih je globalizacija sprožila številne pozitivne
in negativne odzive v domačem in mednarodnem okolju. Pomembna
posledica globalizacije je tudi povečanje ekonomske,
socialne, kulturne in politične moči podjetij, kar po eni strani pozitivno
vpliva na življenja posameznikov in na družbo kot celoto,
po drugi strani pa smo priča velikemu številu obtožb na račun
podjetij, ki sistematično kršijo človekove pravice vključno s svobodo
izražanja in svobodo umetniškega izražanja. Le malo primerov
proti podjetjem, njihovim vodilnim ali zaposlenim, pa dobi sodni
epilog na sodišču. Pričujoče delo ugotavlja, da je potrebno najti
praktične rešitve na področju spoštovanja temeljnih človekovih
pravic v podjetjih, saj so podjetja dolžna spoštovati normativne
okvire varstva temeljnih človekovih pravic, glede katerih je dosežen
splošen dogovor v različnih kulturah in družbah po svetu.
